DAVID ELMAN Summer 2009/10

MIEZKO Mo692 BLACK PATENT AND GRAPE PATENT
The first thing that will strike you about David Elman’s Spring/Summer ‘09/’10 collections, is the abundance of beautiful colour. Feet will be adorned by the new season’s prettiest tones of violet, dusty pink, light lipstick and coral.
PASCUCCI 4035 WHITE, IVORY, CORAL

OXITALY 202 BLACK - 211 BK/WHITE
In keeping with fashion’s recent Coco Chanel fest there’s a slightly Parisian feeling to the immaculate loafers – both flat and midheel – which boast elegant square toes topped by buckles and the season’s signature chainwork, with gold embellishment at the fore.
Contrastingly, Audley offers a ‘70s flavour with wonderful sculptural heels in coolly chic neutrals – black, black-ivory; ivory-metallic. The neutral palette throws these high-attitude styles’ rich textures to the foreground.

Texture is key through other labels too – there are beautiful mules and low heeled ballet flats in punched leather; top selling Pascucci’s leather lattice in a fantastic coral/white/nude palette, and divine black plaits from Miezko with exposed zips in the back - just as we are seeing on garments this season.
The David Elman label itself now boasts a Made in Italy group, and a star of the David Elman label proper is a showoff Sergio Rossi-inspired black heel – rendered a little less spiky for those of us who travel other than in limo’s!
