Winter 12 sees the return of luxurious Cashmere to the Caroline Sills collection and styles which embody sophisticated simplicity.
Cashmere cardigans are a key look for the season. A long line profile with large shell pearl buttons is complemented by a fitted 50’s inspired shape. Colours are kept traditional and timeless with soft greys, pinks and oatmeal teamed back with classic navy and black.
Merino knitwear has a distinct desirability with the use of woven and textured trims working harmoniously within styles. A merino shift dress is embellished with dramatic draped fringing which elegantly cascades down each side of the dress. An androgynous v cardigan is juxtaposed with delicate layered chains adorning the fabric pockets.
Silk satin back t-shirts in ivory, charcoal and black are paired back with tweed textured wide leg pants and zip front long line boxed jackets.
The presence of elegant tailoring within the collection is highlighted with nipped in waists, beautiful light wool blends and sculptured silhouettes. Combine these beautiful tailored pieces with soft draped garments like the cropped viscose shirt with neck bow, adding interesting highlights in emerald green or sangria red for maximum freshness and impact.
A loose merino handknit sweater is a fresh addition to the winter collection; it features beautiful textured cabling down the centre back and an open weave detail around the neck, available in a delicious selection of colours.
Caroline Sills understands that fashions come and go, but style is eternal. Her contemporary Winter 2012 collection is one not to be missed and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did creating it!
