Editor's Note 24th August 2010

Auckland residents, did you get down to the fabulous new Glassons flagship store over the weekend? I was lucky enough to get a tour of the store last Friday afternoon, and it really is a fabulous ‘fashion fairground’. There was a carnival-esque atmosphere at the store opening on Friday, with the huge store window featuring a cotton candy stand and giant ice-cream cones. Inside, a DJ spun tracks while girls dressed as clowns and ballerinas handed out lollies. The sense of fun was tangible – and don’t even get me started on the fabulous range in store for spring/summer 2010! Beauty Bible editor Gracie and I quickly got the ‘shopping rage’, and I picked up some fab new purchases, including a dress and pants from the new boutique range ‘Buttons and Bows’ (a new limited edition, boutique collection just launched.) It’s great to see the iconic Kiwi brand spreading its wings, and putting an emphasis on creating the ultimate shopping experience. Gracie and I finished off our tour by getting our hair done at Pony Xpress, the new in-store blow wave salon. The venture is the first of its kind in NZ, and has been opened by the absolutely lovely Mana Dave and the team at Blaze Salon. So needless to say, I was in fine form for my Friday night out with a hot hair-do and new clothes!
