Editor's Note 7th September 2010

On Friday night, I attended the 2010 Westfield Style Pasifika Awards, and what a fantastic event it was!  The awards are such a unique celebration of fashion, and the way it is influenced by the melting pot of cultures that make up our population. The awards have been recognised for launching some of this country's finest design and performance talent, and I have no doubt that this year will be no exception - I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot more of the up-and-coming designers who featured in the show.  You can read more about the awards and who the big winners were here.  In other news, we’re so excited that Hannah Ongley, a Kiwi girl living in New York, is going to be reporting for FashioNZ on all the action from New York Fashion Week! Hannah will be reviewing the best runway shows, including Kiwis Alexandra Owen and Karen Walker, as well as some top international designers such as Betsey Johnson and Charlotte Ronson.
