From the Editor: 17 July 2012

So many people I have spoken to recently have forfeited alcohol this month in aid of Dry July. This fantastic, online campaign raises funds and directly helps adults living with cancer and their families to improve their quality of life.

It really is a great cause and although I have not participated this year (a recent birthday required a glass or two to get through), I’ll certainly be sponsoring those that I can. If you’re a bit like me and would like to be a monetary participant then you can find out how at www.dryjuly.com.

To the Dry-July participants – Come July 31 you’ll not only be feeling amazing, but your efforts have helped those in need. Fantastic job!

Also tomorrow is Mandela Day and premium skincare brand Dermalogica is doing it's bit to support this cause. Dermalogica New Zealand is hosting 67 auctions on Trade Me. From the July 8 until July 18, 2012 these auctions will raise money for Dermalogica’s philanthropic initiative, joinFITE (Financial Independence Through Entrepreneurship). If you can help find out more information below.

So that’s it for me, I hope you enjoy the week ahead and if you get the chance, be sure to take a few moments to read about the two great initiatives I’ve mentioned above.

Till next week,
