Contemporary Salon – Frantisek and Daniel K NZFW 2013 Review

Frantisek and Daniel K showcased their Autumn/Winter 2014 collections in the Contemporary Salon Runway show yesterday.

Frantisek

First down the runway, a fusion of polka dots and stripes was the order of the day for Frantisek. In hues of lime, yellow, dusky pink & monochrome, models sported bubble dresses, silk pencil skirts, tailored jackets and wide legged pants.

The collection features an effortlessly cool large polka dot dress with scarf, bubble skirt & large circle kimono, along with some cleverly designed double sided & versatile garments.

Frantisek’s collection was complimented with a dramatic ‘blockout’ eye, nude lip and sleek hair.

Daniel K

Exquisitely styled by FourEyes’ Mino, Daniel K hit the runway with beautifully elegant, yet completely wearable garments in a series of liquid inspired designs, wave prints and polka dots. Silk dresses and crop tops had a perfect fluidity about them and fabrics draped and flowed in all the right places.

The knitwear was an absolute standout with the ‘blue knot knit’ and red ‘wave knit top’. Completely wearable and timeless winter-wear, that had the audience looking on in absolute awe.

Kimonos and double-layered silk pants graced the models in a manipulation of fabric creating texture and drama that made Daniel K stand out from the rest. This up and coming designer is sure to take the fashion world by storm.
