Trish Peng NZFW 2014 Review

Known for her structured eveningwear, Trish Peng, used her NZFW debut to present her new line of daywear in a rainbow of bright hues, perfect for summer 2014/15.

To begin her show, a procession of bronzed babes with slicked back hair and nude lips took to the runway to the sound of Lady Gaga’s tongue-in-chic fashion anthem ‘Donatella’.

Her first few looks consisting of elegant separates in monochromatic hues and a blue and caramel toned print, before a bold candy stripe made an appearance on mini-length dresses, shorts and a wide-lapelled jacket.

These relaxed pieces made for refined yet wearable daywear.

Then the mood shifted as Peng’s sleek and sexy body-con shaped dresses in coral, jade, scarlet, canary, white and black were ready to party down the runway in mostly strapless and off the shoulder styles.

Thigh-high slits and cut out details upped the flirtation factor whilst flowing skirts and sweet ruffles added a feminine touch.

More eveningwear followed, this time in richer hues and luscious silks with plunging necklines and metallic details, it’s clear that Peng’s garments are all about being noticed.

Closing the show was the gorgeous Jennifer Tooley in a show-stopping sheath-style bridal gown with delicate floral embellishments and a flowing long train that required two attendants to assist with its runway appearance.
