Ashley Fogel’s 2010 summer collection presents an array of colour, fabrics and styles that are set to ignite feminine chic and glamour this season.
The launch of the Algaia collection is about highlighting the feminine silhouette with shapes that contour and flatter and fabrics that drape and float. This season is about making women feel like the Greek goddess Algaia who was the personification of magnificence.
Taking inspiration from the Impressionists to Contemporary palettes this season’s colours are a toast to the first real days of summer. Monet inspired Jacaranda, blanched pinks and pastels stand in contrast to digital prints in electric purple and brilliant emeralds injecting colour and vibrancy in any woman’s wardrobe.
Making the most of stunning designs, beautiful prints and feminine silhouettes, Ashley Fogel has produced a collection that offers something for every occasion.
“Whether it is a black tie affair, the races, a garden wedding or a cruise aboard a yacht,” says leading New Zealand fashion designer Ashley Fogel. “This summer collection will demand femininity.”
Dresses and skirts come in whisper-weight fabrics that billow and drape. Their captivating colours team beautifully with signature Ashley Fogel jackets and trenches in stone, pumice and black. The navy blue military-inspired jacket with silver buttons is set to become an indispensable part of every woman’s wardrobe whether thrown over a soft, flowy dress or matched with a pair of classic denim jeans.
Delicate fabrics that float and billow are ideal for summer hot days. From blended cotton silks to organza and lace, Ashley Fogel believes his new collection will inspire women to make every day an occasion to celebrate.
Details are kept to a minimum this season for a classic and modern look. Moving awary from the hardware of the winter collection, embellishments are Fifties French inspired with a fine dainty bow, a string of pearls, soft ruffles or ribbon detailing that individualise each item.
