Established by Jane Sutherland in 2004, the label continues to extend and challenge. Like the collection itself, the women that dress in Jane Sutherland stand out, but not in an obvious way, more like the black sheep in a crowd inspiring surprising and in a slightly mysterious way.
The directive in Jane’s vision is upholding your own individuality. Jane believes fashion is a tool for self expression and self invention, beauty is everywhere but perfection is nowhere. Jane works to create timeless pieces that can be worn by anyone anytime.
Jane’s desire is also to propose interesting contrasts to give the collections a strong edge with handcrafted metalwork that is applied to certain garments whilst still having wearability and transcending simple functionality.
100% of the clothing is made onshore and our intention is to continue this. We are committed to supporting New Zealand’s Fashion Industry and its skilled contractors.
