Huffer have furthered their expansion into Australia with the opening of their new branded retail store in Bondi Beach, Sydney. The successful streetwear brand opened their first store across the ditch in Newtown, Sydney in October which is already doing well. Huffer have been selling into Australia for over 14 years now and aside from their six branded New Zealand stores their sought-after streetwear can be found in over 150 stores across Australasia.

“It’s awesome to be in the hood,” says Co-founder and Brand Director, Steve Dunstan. “Newtown opened its doors about a month ago and we have been blown away by the response, we are really enjoying slowly getting to know the localised, independent and eclectic nature of this neighbourhood. We really appreciate all the support we have experienced and look forward to building momentum over the next couple of months.”

The iconic beach town is home to many like-minded businesses and Huffer’s new store fits right in on busy Gould Street. Bondi’s laid-back charm and well-balanced lifestyle is well-known and it’s an exciting place to be for the streetwear brand with such high foot traffic and exposure to not just locals but many international visitors who visit Bondi daily.

“We are honoured to be alongside forward thinking and diverse brands and we look forward to welcoming the locals in to our store for a coffee and a chat,” says Dunstan. “Gould St is a chosen path for locals as they get about their daily business and to be a part of that relaxed vibe feels like a natural home for us. Bondi beach also offers the uniqueness of a strong local community mixed with a large visitor population which gives us exposure on a much larger scale.” He adds “Opening stores in Australia helps to build our brand and a Huffer community. We are into supporting and empowering local people so they can create their own success stories. Collaborations are important to us and we look forward to connecting with like-minded, successful people and businesses.”

It wouldn’t be a Huffer store without its popular store events including Huffer’s long-running FCF (Free Coffee Friday) concept and both Sydney stores will be extending their hospitality to Huffer customers and their new local communities.  The Huffer team are looking forward to getting to know their new neighbours over an Allpress coffee and a donut and it’s their welcoming, inclusive spirit that keeps their many loyal customers coming back for more. Something tells us this expansion into Australia is going to go very well indeed.
