Sable and Minx at NZFW 2010 – Review
Sable and Minx’s Autumn Winter 2011 collection is in the words of designer Theresa Brady “inspired by romance and the feelings that you get when falling in love”.

As the show opens I’m intrigued to see this inspiration interpreted into the garments about to be sent down the runway. The front row tap their toes enthusiastically to The Eurythmics ‘Sweet Dreams’ and out comes a number of her signature dresses, all feminine, classic and rather seductive. Warm grey monochromatic looks are interspersed between bold red dresses and cardigans. There’s also hues of deep plum and soft pink tones in printed tunics, tops and dresses, and an eye catching cobalt blue is splashed over an animal print design giving bursts of colour to the show.

Some very nice tailored high-waisted dark denim jeans with gorgeous pocket detailing paired with a waffle knit cardi offer a more relaxed, or lazy Sunday option to a show full of delicate, feminine and very wearable dresses.
