Kate Middleton Makeup

FOR KATE’S BEAUTIFUL GLOWING SKIN

1.Start of by applying a foundation primer to give your makeup longevity and prevent it from creasing.

PRO TIP: a liquid highlighter is great here as it gives a natural glow to the skin. Mix it in with your primer and/or apply alone to the cheek bone, brow bone, bridge of the nose and cupid’s bow.

2.Using a brush or sponge, apply a liquid or cream foundation and concealer where required to maintain a soft, dewey look to the skin.

3.Sparing apply translucent powder through the t-zone to set the makeup and control oiliness.

4.Define the brows using a brow powder or eyeshadow in a similar shade to your hair colour.

BIG BEAUTIFUL EYES

1.Generously apply eyelid primer and a matte base shadow all over the lids and brow bone. This will make blending colours much easier.

2.Apply a light grey or plum coloured shadow to the outer corners of the eyes and blend in along the crease of the eyes. Highlight the centre of the lid and the top of the brown bone with a pearly pink shadow

3.Apply a waterproof black liner to the top waterline, top lashline and bottom lashline (but leave the bottom waterline clear or alternatively highlight with a white eyeliner). Smudge out these lines with a cotton bud or pencil brush.

4.Coat top and bottom lashes with 1 coat of mascara.

THE FINISHING TOUCHES

1.Define the cheeks a cream blush to add soft colour back to the apples of the cheeks. For Kate’s look, select a soft pink tone and blend up and out toward the ears.

2.Apply lipstick in a dusky pink/peachy shade.

PRO TIP: I don’t recommend gloss for brides as it’s not pleasant for the groom when it comes to the big kiss! So instead, highlight the centre of your bottom lip and the cupid’s bow of the top lip with a pale shimmery eyeshadow to give the effect of shine without stickiness

3.Spray your face with a fix spray to keep everything fresh and beautifully dewey.
