Queen Elizabeth II is celebrating her Diamond Jubilee, so this Queen’s birthday weekend we think that it is time to break out the bubbly and raise a glass to celebrate.
 
She is after all only the second monarch to reach the Diamond celebration. During her reign she has gone on 261 official overseas trips to 116 different countries and visited New Zealand ten times.

She has launched 23 ships; met five astronauts; is the patron to more than 600 charities and has sat for 129 portraits.

She has reigned over 12 Prime Ministers; sent 45,000 Christmas cards; awarded 404,500 honours and has signed her name to every Act of Parliament. Whew!
