Mid-Winter beauty releases

July Beauty 2017

This month’s exciting new beauty products. Images supplied.

Another month, another round of new beauty launches to get excited over. With the Northern Hemisphere currently enjoying summer, there’s a whole array of bright colours for us to enjoy and products to inject a bit of warmth back into our paler complexions. Here are some products we loved at first sight and also some we’re lusting over from afar. Get your wallets ready:

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist, $75 at Mecca Cosmetica and online at meccabeauty.co.nz
Luxury skincare brand Tatcha arrived at Mecca in New Zealand and Australia this month. Their skincare has earned rave reviews from some of our favourite international bloggers so we’re excited it’s now more accessible here. The Luminous Dewy Skin Mist is certainly a luxe buy but the glow enhancing properties and skin-nurturing ingredients make it worth the splurge.

Lush Christmas in July, $9.50-$38.00
Lush’s little taster of their Christmas range is back for another midwinter. They’ve bought back an edit of their bath bombs, shower gels, body conditioners and the shimmer powder. We recommend the Lord of Misrule and Golden Wonder bath bombs. If you love rose scents, you cannot pass up the Rose Jam shower gel.

NARS Orgasm Collection, $43-$47, at Mecca Cosmetica
The cheekily named blush is joined by some new products this year. You can now buy the Orgasm blush in lipstick form or as a liquid blush. We think the lipstick in particular is stunning but we also rate the blush as well. It’s the perfect peachy pink hue.

Lancome L’Absolu Rouge Lipsticks, $60 at leading department stores and select pharmacies
The L’Absolu Rouge lipsticks aren’t new but they have recently received a revamp thanks to creative director Lisa Eldridge. Available in sheer, cream and matte finishes, there’s something for everyone. We also love the coral red matte, Idole for something more vibrant.

Go To ‘Super Handy’ Hand Cream, $23
Our favourite skincare sorceress, Zoe Foster Blake, is back with another hero product. This time with the intent of giving our poor hands the love they deserve. Excuse the pun but we think she’s nailed it. Non-greasy, non-sticky, fast-absorbing and it smells delightful. Your hands are left feeling so velvety smooth and soft.

L’Oreal Paris Infallible Lacquer Lip Paints, $25.99
The liquid lipstick obsession is here to stay and these newbies from L’Oreal are brilliant. As they’ve got a slightly glossier finish, they’re more flattering on the lips and more comfortable to wear. Despite being creamier, they still boast an impressive wear time and fade down to a stain over time. We’re fans of the shades Gone Wild and Darling Pink.
