Hit or Miss? Nicole Richie, One Shoulder Dress

It’s a miss!

I’ve seen a few celeb looks recently that have convinced me I do not like flowy, one-shoulder gowns with long, batwing sleeves.

I like the purple jewel tone of this dress, but that’s about all I like – the velvet fabric reminds me of nana’s drapes, and the gown is really ill-fitting.  I absolutely love Nicole and normally love her style, but the overall effect of this outfit is just really drab.   Her hair colour is a little too pale against her skin and the contrast with the bold colour washes her out.

Sorry Nicole – I loved your wedding dress though!
