It used to be that boots, ankle boots and booties arrived in stores every autumn, but with all the season-blurring styles of the last few years, spring/summer boots are now hotter than ever before. Of course, most of these warmer-weather styles aren't really "boots" in the traditional sense of the word, but they're more similar to boots than they are to the strappy sandals of seasons past.

 

For 2010, some of the hottest looks in summer boots and booties include lace up fronts, wedge heels, laser-cut or perforated detailing and ankle cuffs.  They’re every girl’s dream on a CPW (cost per wear) basis: you can wear them now in the depths of winter; simply add opaques, leggings or hosiery, and once the summer weather hits; you’re on trend and ready to go.
