NZFF Presents the Vidcom Business Breakfast

NZFF presents their first Business Breakfast as part of the 2011 programme. Spend a few hours over breakfast at top restaurant Clooney and exchange business cards and ideas with other like-minded people at the Vidcom Business Breakfast.
Two very different and interesting business personalities will speak:
Rod Drury (CEO & founder of Xero)
Rod will be speaking about social media and its importance in business today. Rod is CEO and founder of NZX-listed Xero - an online accounting solution for small businesses, and a founder and Director of Pacific Fibre, a new international fibre cable project connecting Australia and NZ to the USA. One of New Zealand’s leading technology entrepreneurs, Rod is a member of the New Zealand Hi-Tech Hall of Fame, NZ Hi-Tech Entrepreneur of the Year in 2006 and 2007, World Class New Zealander for ICT in 2008 and an Honorary Fellow of the NZ Computer Society. Rod is also a Director of the New Zealand Stock Exchange, was a Director of TradeMe when it was sold to Fairfax Media and is a member of Victoria University of Wellington Faculty of Commerce Advisory Board.
Karyn Hay (Kiwi FM Manager and RadioLIVE host)
Ask most people about Karyn Hay and they will remember her as host of the music television programme “Radio with Pictures”. But this extraordinary woman has achieved so much and lived a truly full life since those days. She was the winner of the Hubert Church Best First Book in the 2001 Montana Book Awards following the publication of her first novel, “Emerald Budgies” She was subsequently awarded the Frank Sargeson Fellowship in 2004. A new novel and a book of poetry are due out next year. Karyn Hay is also an experienced television producer and director, and a company director of Morocat - a writer and designer team producing ‘Davilon the Morocat’ a model yacht, plus a series of children's books, now exporting to USA.
She manages the Kiwi FM radio network and co-hosts Radio Lives’ 7-10pm show with her partner Andrew Fagan with whom she has two lovely sons.
