Daily Wrap Up – Day Three

Day three, sadly, did not get off to the best of starts.  After running late due to forgetting several important items, we were finally on our way.  We arrived at the venue, thankfully, scored a park, and then realised one small problem.  It was pouring with rain, and we were sans-umbrella.

Running in heels is never fun, and it’s always worse when you’re getting splashes of water up your legs and being pounded by Auckland's unforgiving rain.  We finally arrived, and I breathed a sigh of relief.  Until I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror.  My perfectly executed hair coiff was soaked through and I resembled a drowned-rat.

A quick trip to the MAC/ghd room for a ‘zhuzh’ soon fixed that.  With hair and makeup fixed (a task of the utmost importance), we headed off to the first show of the day, Twentyseven Names – a super cool, 90s-esque collection.

A highlight of my day was the fun TCD show –where they served us ice cream!  Nutritious lunch taken care of, it was back to the media room for more reviewing and to await the Nicole Miller show.  Miller’s show was fantastic, such a highlight – make sure you check out the review and images.

I’m also becoming more and more of a fan of the Fashion Week diet.  It consists of goody-bag chocolate; lollies, the occasional muesli bar and whatever sweet treat the lovely NZFW people at the media room bring in each morning.  Day one, it was ginger bread men. Day two was ginger kisses, and today, ginger cake.  All washed down with a few glasses of champagne at the end (and sometimes the middle) of the day.  So as you can see, we’re well sustained for the strenuous tasks at hand!

I’m off to Stolen Girlfriends Club tonight – see you tomorrow!
