Kathryn Wilson - NZFW 2011
In what was set to be NZ’s biggest public show, Kathryn Wilson presented her Winter 2012 collection to around 3,000 people.
The show was about celebrating people who love fashion and want to see and experience NZ Fashion Week first-hand.
Acknowledging the need to embrace the fashion savvy, Kathryn says “Our customers use style, sophistication and trends to determine their way forward. It’s exciting to be putting on a show for fashion lovers!”
It was a feast for the eyes, models walked on a raised catwalk while being beamed around the venue on multiple large-format screens, ensuring that everyone could see the gorgeous shoes on the runway.
The shoes were bold, edgy, and contemporary. With a variety of styles being featured, there was something for everyone: ballet flats, lace up Oxfords, high-heeled boots, and stiletto shoes.
Models were dressed in black corset tops and black underwear bottoms to really emphasise the shoes on display.
Straight after the runway show, a special guest appearance by Kimbra as well as The Checks provided guests with further entertainment.
As the last show on Friday night, Kathryn Wilson was one of the first events to kick off Fashion Weekend. And now that Fashion Week 2011 has come to an end, we can relax a little bit and enjoy what Fashion Weekend has to offer!
