 
3 Wise Men was conceived, as so many other great things have been,
with the encouragement of much red wine.
The story, as the three old mates who are the 3 Wise Men business partners tell it, has them enjoying a tipple when the topic of business shirts was raised. All three had lived overseas where selection, price and the ability to buy on-line made shirt shopping a pleasure.
However, New Zealand was a different story. The selection and cost of business shirts here meant that the three seldom bought a business shirt at home, preferring online shopping and visiting foreign shirt shops during overseas business trips.
Another glass of wine and the business plan for 3 Wise Men was hatched. The three would deliver Kiwi men a selection of top-end business shirts, well made from the excellent quality cottons for a price point that would revolutionise the market. Vertical integration would be key to their value proposition - taking out the middle-man margins by making and retailing their own shirts.
Spring/Summer 2009 sees 3 Wise Men launch several limited edition fabrics in wovens and prints. The guys at 3 Wise Men have worked hard to source limited edition fabrics including small geometric prints and polks dots. These shirts will be part of the new initiative of dropping 5-10 new shirt styles into store every 3-4 weeks.
The summer range includes splashes of real colour including bold “fanta” orange checks and “granny smith greens”.

Apart from shirts, 3 Wise Men also have over 100 pure silk ties, “pork pie” hats for summer, cufflinks and the best collection of men’s socks.
