Barkers is a modern design led men’s fashion brand with 27 retail outlets throughout New Zealand (including an international online shop). Barkers summer 2009 collection reflects the shades of the city with a cool monochromatic palette.

The offering is kept fresh with crisp white, sky blue and highlights of turquoise and grass green. Glimpses of floral prints and yarn dye checks offer quirk and interest while the collection stays true to the Barkers simple clean aesthetic with subtle military detailing in the form of light weight jackets, epaulettes on shoulders and sleeves and pocketing on shorts and trousers.

Highlight pieces include the Fine Stripe Suit worn casually with turned up trousers, luxe fine gauge knitwear and two-tone printed short sleeve shirts lending an almost retro feel.
