First stop for Spring is the picturesque cliff top town of Sorrento overlooking the Bay of Naples in Italy. “Sorrento inspired me with that lovely always-on-holiday feel,” says Max Design Manager Meegan Webster. “This collection showcases a range of timeless styles in a colour palette consisting of muted tones and pretty pastels, perfect for work or play. There’s also a soft-draping influence in many of the styles that has its origins in classic ‘Roman goddess’ style. “Sorrento consists of versatile, trans-seasonal styles that can be mixed and matched to create an effortless chic look.”    Embellishments such as lace, sequins and beading feature, illustrated by styles such as the Flutter Sleeve Top with Sequin Detail ($119) and the must-have Sequin Draped Jacket ($199). The draping influence can be seen in the Shoulder Trim Tunic ($79) and Pleat Front Oversized Top ($69). Trans-seasonal Lurex yarn is key for Spring, along with stripes and tie-dye fabrications.
