Chrissy Kouwenhoven

Chrissy Kouwenhoven is currently studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Canterbury University and intends to major in Photography.

She recently photographed Air New Zealand Fashion Week alongside 15 competing photographers; this as part of the Sony Alpha D-SLR Photography Competition where she won the People’s Choice Award.

During her last year of high school in 2009, Chrissy organised a number of student exhibitions for galleries in her hometown of Nelson. This sparked an interest in art curatorship, in which she hopes to complete a postgraduate degree.

Chrissy sells and commissions photography for artistic or commercial use.

She has experience in photographing weddings, jewellery, catwalks, portraiture and landscapes – for her work she uses a Canon EOS 50D camera.
