applying-liquid-eyeliner

Hi Ashlee,
I am terrible at applying liquid eyeliner, but really love the look.  Can you please give me some tips on how to apply it?
Amy

Hi Amy,
The main trick with liquid eyeliner is that practise makes perfect! Although Maybelline have a FAB pen liquid liner that does make this little job much easier!! Just remember to pull the eyelid across a little with the top of your index finger when applying to stretch out the lid so you get a smooth straight line, let it dry for 5 seconds, then release the eyelid and you should have a perfectly straight line. Maybe practice a couple of times first to get the hang of it before you apply the rest of your makeup.

cream-blush

Hi Ashlee,
How should I apply cream blusher? I have been using some but am not sure if I am applying it correctly.
Jane

Hi Jane,
Cream blusher is perfect for that flushed, fresh look! Make sure the rest of your make up is the same, light base – a tinted moisturiser such as one from Nivea as a base would work best. Then, using your index finger, lightly dab the cream blusher onto the apples of your cheeks in a circular motion, remember to build the colour up slowly rather than trying to put a lot on at once - the clown look isn't so fresh and flushed ;)

makeup

Hi Ashlee,
How do you make your make up tell a story?
Ryley

Hi Ryley, I LOVE your question! Makeup does tell a story, it helps woman walk into the office with that extra bit of confidence ...  or a girl feel pretty when she looks at a boy ... hoping he likes her ... The way to tell your story is to figure out what you want to say first.  For example, a confident woman would preferably wear, strong colours with emphasis on the lips; red = power for example, and a girl trying to look pretty might have more of a innocent look with light eye shadow colours, such as peachy from MAC and strong layered eyelashes to help the boy notice her batting her eyelashes .  All you need to do it figure out the story and you're on your way! Remember every one is different so your stories may be different from others - just go with your instincts!
