There's something about a great pair of boots. They'll turn heads every time. And not because they're F.M.Bs! It's one thing every woman should have in their wardrobe, yet somehow there's always room for another pair.  

We as New Zealanders seem to have a bias for boots. Is it because they're strong, dependable, hard wearing? As Nancy Sinatra sang in her signature 1960s hit: "These Boots Are Made for Walkin", boots have a rep for being resilient or "tough as old boots". It's true, a good pair of boots should last you at least a couple of winters, if you're not thrashing them. 

A bonus for us is in our climate is that we get to wear boots almost all year round. And by the time its actually cold enough to wear them, they're on sale - how's that for great timing?!

They can be as simple as basic waterproof gumboots, as sensible as work boots (later adopted into pop culture by punks) or as snuggly as uggboots. Or on the other side of the coin, boots can be as sexy/kinky as they come, featuring platform soles, spiked stiletto heels, pointed toes and the like. Just think of the movie "Kinky Boots" which proves boots will never go out of fashion...
