Calliope launches a new look for winter 2012, introducing a playful and pretty collection that delivers a sophisticated silhouette.

Taking a more tailored approach, winter see a revival of structure. Its boy meets girl, with floaty print shirt dresses with knife pleat skirts and well cut boyfriend tweed blazers with cute embellished cardis, think Audrey Hepburn meets Amelia Earhart….

Prints are delicate and subtle and complemented with a soft, pretty colour palette of rosewater, stone and winter white and then moving into earthy tones of mink, greymarle, midnight and black.

Knitwear is innovative and exciting with the Ivy sweater in striking winter white incorporating a fabric shirt hemline and neck trim or the Allium jacket featuring a luxurious fur trimmed collar in wide cosy rib knit.

The glamorous Valetta sequin singlet comes in metallic pewter or gold and is perfect under the boyfriend blazer for a hint of seduction. Delicate sequins are scattered through the collection, enhancing the cute Cotton cashmere knit styles with an unexpected dash of sparkle.

Dresses continue to dominate this winter with sheer shirt dresses complemented by a narrow leather waist belt to define your shape in both print and plain georgette. A merino jersey bodice is partnered with a viscose crepe skirt in the refreshing combination Audrey dress.
