The Surplus parka inspired by an army surplus jacket found in paris. hooded. constructed in painted black linen with an incredible feel. relatively lightweight but can also be worn as a raincoat.

 

The Metalica vest an artisanal piece where the front panels are completely constructed from zips. subtle interplay of colours and metals. zips are a strong motif throughout the collection.

 

The Fringe Festival shirt a vehicle for metamorphosis, another strong theme of the collection. the coloured fringing, either in black or poppy red, works like a tuxedo frill - but it can be zipped off for a more low key look.

 

The Slam Dunk shirt subtle nod to an oversized basketball shirt in airtex fabric. the vintage-looking print, 79, reflects the strong sporting motif that runs through this season’s menswear. but because of the special ink with which the numbers are printed they have the texture of a soft volcanic lava and a dark, faded, almost-historic look to them. the embodiment of the way in which a label like Zambesi approaches a subject like sportswear.

 

Menswear shapes: military stylings and accents in parkas and coats, casual jackets in stretch cotton or painted linen.

more formal wear includes a classic, sharp two button jacket or a one button jacket verging on tuxedo style, waistcoats and a slim trouser.

detachable hoods, pyjama-influenced shorts and tops, simple t-shirts with unusual seam placement, knitted shorts and boxers.
