What do women want from fashion today? Have their desires changed in the last decade?

I think most women ask these questions before they buy:
Does it work for my lifestyle and is it functional and comfortable?
Does it make me feel good and do I look beautiful and sexy?

Who or what inspired you to become a fashion designer?

Right from a young age I loved fashion and clothes. My mother was a hairdresser and had her own salon so I was very influenced by the young girls who worked for her and was always checking out their outfits and make-up!  There was never any doubt that I would do anything else.

If you weren’t a fashion designer what would you be doing now?

I have no idea!

What’s the best thing about being involved in the fashion industry?

The best thing is the travel, twice yearly trips to Europe and the States. The other great thing about fashion is that it is constantly moving forward and changing and I love that. I could never be an architect!

What’s the worst thing about being involved in the fashion industry?

I never get to live in the current season – I’m always thinking ahead to the next one!

How do you think the retail industry will fare in the coming months?  What are you doing differently to differentiate yourself from the competition?

We aren’t necessarily doing anything different but focusing on our core strengths – manufacturing high quality, well designed investment pieces, excellent customer service and selecting the very best products for our diverse clientele.

What’s your must-have piece for spring?

The Sequin Mini Dress from my new collection which I will pair with some Balenciaga Killer Heels (on wish list).

What won’t you be wearing?

Midriff tops.
