The new collection delivers an intriguing mix of stainless steel and natural gemstone
There’s much to celebrate about Silk & Steel’s new Aurora collection.
The celebrated New Zealand jewellery brand continues to deliver edgy-luxe statement pieces that have attracted a loyal following, including Ellie Goulding, Gin Wigmore, Hollie Smith, and Rachel Hunter.
Designer Sarah Cotterall’s ability to turn her creative skillset to everything from couture and contemporary collections to vintage-inspired pieces sees Silk & Steel’s continued evolution as a brand.
Her newest Aurora collection embraces the more-is-more concept, with sophisticated statement pieces featuring tiger’s eye and black onyx, with all beaded designs hand-strung in Mount Eden, Tāmaki Makaurau.
Joining Aurora’s bead pieces are Mariner-style and vintage-influenced gold chains. A standout of the collection is the Sol Necklace, a piece thoughtfully designed to be paired over other chains or worn alone in its own right.
