All rise for the ghd Rise Volumising Hot Brush

ghd Rise Volumising Hot Brush

MUA Alice Drury

Makeup artist Alice Drury volunteered her tresses to test out the ghd rise hot brush.

As you’d expect, there was no shortage of volunteers in the office when it came to snagging the chance to experience a ghd tool, so we had to resolve this in the most professional and mature way possible – with a game of rock, paper, scissors. Alice and her rock smashed us.

The Hamilton-based makeup artist recently had her long locks chopped short, so was extra enthusiastic about trying some new styles for her fresh look.

A lover of glam style, Alice created a step-by-step video of one of her fave looks, which you can see here.

For an easy transformation from straight hair to more voluminous curls, the ghd Rise Volumising Hot Brush instantly proved its worth for effective curl results and adding volume.

The rise is designed to style dry hair of all lengths and can create chic waves, fierce flicks, or bombshell curls. It can also be used solely to add root volume for finer hair or a fuller look

It’s lightweight and beautifully balanced to use and styles without extreme heat. Alice gave the rise a definite thumbs up for creating bouncy curls and leaving hair with a healthy glossy finish – and also for being simple enough to use, even for a first-timer.

Alice’s Pro Tips: For the best curl results, wrap hair around the rise twice, angling away from the face. Hold for five to eight seconds depending on hair thickness, before gently uncurling.
