Clear your calendars, fash fanatics – New Zealand Fashion Week presented by Giltrap Group (NZFW) has just revealed its official 2025 schedule, and it’s packed tighter than a front-row seat at a Zambesi show.
Running from August 25–30, the New Zealand Fashion Week 2025 Schedule is a glittering mashup of Aotearoa’s fashion legends, buzzy up-and-comers, and boundary-pushing activations – all designed to celebrate the style, creativity, and community that makes our fashion industry tick.
Big Names, Big Returns
Fashion icon Juliette Hogan is opening the week with the very first designer show, setting the tone for what’s to come. Meanwhile, the legendary Karen Walker is making a highly anticipated return to the NZFW runway for the first time in over 15 years – cue the nostalgia.
Joining them on the schedule are names like Zambesi and Kathryn Wilson alongside stars such as Claudia Li, Harris Tapper, and Adrion Atelier. Whether you’re in it for the sleek tailoring or archival nods, this year’s selection delivers.
Beyond Shed 10
This isn’t just a week of runway shows – the off-site programming is seriously good too. Expect fashion films, installations, archival deep dives and cultural showcases like Te Kuneroa o Kākahu Māori by Kiri Nathan. Labels like Rory William Docherty, and Yu Mei are planning immersive presentations beyond the traditional catwalk format.
And yes, tickets are available to the public, meaning you (yes, you!) can score a glimpse of your favourite labels IRL. Find your moment, grab your seat, and maybe even brush shoulders with an editor or two.
Also not to miss: the REBE off-site showcase is set to bring its signature edge to the week’s lineup with an intimate, artful presentation that’s already creating buzz. Meanwhile, jewellery lovers should head to The Diamond Shop Trunk Show on Wednesday 27th – a sparkling one-day-only event bringing luxury, craftsmanship, and the chance to shop statement pieces straight from the source.
A Lineup That’s “World-Class”
“We’re so proud of this year’s lineup — it’s a true representation of the world-class talent this country is home to,” says Rebecca Lawson, NZFW Designer Liaison and Lead Show Producer. “It’s no small feat for a label to put on a show, so we’re thrilled so many designers shared our vision for the event.”
Creative Director and NZFW board advisor Dan Ahwa adds, “This year’s schedule is a return to form — book-ended by nostalgia and the future, with fresh ideas in between. It makes me proud of the team pulling this together.”
