There’s a common theme when it comes to describing shades of brown, and it’s usually associated with deliciousness (think chestnut, cocoa, walnut, and gingernut).
Brown is officially the new black, bringing with it a flavoursome punch of deep layered texture. There’s something warm and endearing about brown; plus, when it comes to the psychology of colours, brown is deemed relaxing, warm, and humble and considered a grounding colour. It’s also a neutral but with undertones of red, yellow, and, of course, black, so lends itself to accompanying many other colours. It’s a stylish choice to pair with linen neutrals too.
