La Tribe has joined forces with Caitlin Crisp to unveil a limited-edition collaboration featuring two pairs of espadrilles
Crafted with care and precision, these espadrilles embody the essence of summer by blending La Tribe’s modern aesthetic and quality craftsmanship with Caitlin Crisp’s timeless and playful design philosophy. Handcrafted in Portugal from Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified canvas, this capsule collection of espadrilles is inspired by an idyllic summer filled with sun-soaked garden gatherings that turn into balmy evenings.
Set on a woven wedge heel with woven jute braided edging, the La Tribe x Caitlin Crisp espadrilles are sand- and lawn-friendly whilst being incredibly comfortable. With a flattering rounded toe, one can take their pick between sophisticated black or soft crudo. The addition of two sets of interchangeable ties – one matching set, and one set of broderie lace straps – provides for a customisable option depending on the wearer’s occasion.
Of the collaboration, Emma Winter founder and creative director of La Tribe says, “We have had the privilege of working with Caitlin for some years now supporting her catwalk shows with our shoes and slippers. We have really enjoyed working with her and her team, and their energy and flair for creating pieces that are both elegant and fun, so thought how exciting it would be to create something together.
“The Espadrille is the classic summer shoe that can equally be paired with trousers and a crisp white shirt which is more my aesthetic, or a beautiful floaty dress which reminds me of Caitlin’s designs. So, the collab was born and it couldn’t be more fitting of both our brands.”
Caitlin Crisp, founder and creative director of her namesake label adds, “As a shorter girl, who loves to spend the whole night on the dance floor, I need a shoe that is comfortable enough to dance the night away in… hence why Espadrilles have been my go-to shoe since I can remember and are often what I base my designs around. I love the way they can dress up an outfit, while still remaining understated. Of course we had to add an extra special CC touch being the matching broderie strap. I hope you love wearing these ones over summer.”
