Lorde’s brother makes his editorial debut
Spotted on the runways at NZFW: Kahuria 2023, it was a matter of time before Angelo Yelich-O’Connor got in front of the lens.
And for one so showbiz-adjacent, it’s fitting that that lens belonged to David Shields, one of Aotearoa’s most storied fashion photographers (his ‘Mrs Prada’ tales make us more enamoured with Miuccia than ever).
Titled Geneses and shot on Auckland’s rugged West Coast, the series represents and features many firsts – among them, Kiri Nathan‘s first unisex collection, Katoa, which brought Shields and Yelich-O’Connor together (the former met the latter while casting Nathan’s NZFW show) – and is shared exclusively with FashioNZ
