When Tanné Snowden founded Tronque, it wasn’t just to create another clean beauty brand – it was to rewrite the standards of body care.
Born from her own health journey and a refusal to compromise on safety, science, or luxury, Tronque has quickly grown into a globally recognised name, stocked in prestigious retailers like Bergdorf Goodman and expanding into new markets across the U.S. and Europe.
At its core, Tronque is about more than skincare. It’s a philosophy of whole-body wellbeing: products that combine cutting-edge, clinically proven ingredients with refillable, elevated design and sensorial textures that feel as indulgent as they are effective.
In this conversation, Tanné opens up about the personal story that shaped Tronque’s ethos, the challenges of scaling as an independent luxury brand, and why she believes body care deserves the same reverence and innovation we’ve long reserved for the face.
Hey, Tanné Snowden! How’s Business?
Business is going incredibly well. We’ve seen strong, consistent growth and are now in an exciting phase of expansion. Our presence in the United States continues to strengthen, and with our upcoming launch into Europe, we’re building real momentum as a global brand.
What excites me most is that this growth isn’t just about scale, it’s about depth. We’re forging meaningful retail partnerships, expanding our community, and continuing to innovate with new product launches that stay true to our ethos of science, safety, and luxury. It feels like we’re at the beginning of a very powerful new chapter for Tronque.

Tronque was born out of your own health journey – how did that experience shape not just the formulations, but the ethos of the brand?
My health journey completely reshaped the way I view both skincare and wellness. I became acutely aware that what we put on our bodies is just as important as what we put in them. That realisation has guided every aspect of Tronque, from formulating with science-backed, non-toxic ingredients to ensuring each product is both safe and deeply effective.
But beyond the formulations, it shaped the very ethos of the brand: transparency, integrity, and longevity. Tronque was never about quick fixes. I wanted to create a body care line that prioritises long-term health and honours the body, while also respecting the planet through considered, refillable design.
For me, body care is more than skincare, it’s a ritual of self-respect, healing, and reconnection. After years of illness and recovery, it became a way of reclaiming power and presence: a daily reminder to nurture myself holistically with products that perform powerfully, feel beautiful, and align with my values.
Tronque was ultimately born through my struggle with reproductive health. While recovering from my second endometriosis surgery in 2019, I learned about endocrine disruptors in skincare, chemicals that can mimic hormones, and was shocked to discover how many were hidden in products from major global brands. That refusal to compromise on safety and efficacy became the catalyst for Tronque: a brand rooted in science, uncompromising on integrity, and dedicated to treating the body with the reverence it deserves.

Clean body care is a crowded space. What do you think sets Tronque apart, and how do you stay ahead of trends while maintaining your own path?
Clean body care is now indeed a crowded category, but what sets Tronque apart is our balance of rigorous science and refined design. We don’t stop at removing questionable ingredients, we actively formulate with innovative, clean, clinically backed actives that deliver visible results. Just as importantly, we elevate body care into something aspirational, from our refillable packaging to sensorial textures that feel indulgent on the skin.
Unlike many luxury skincare brands that focus almost exclusively on the face, we believe the body deserves the same level of attention and innovation. After all, the skin below the neck makes up nearly 90% of our total surface area and plays a vital role in protection, detoxification, and overall health. Yet it’s often overlooked in daily routines. Tronque was built to change that.
For us, true luxury lies in whole-body care. Our products are designed to address real concerns, from stretch marks and scars to hormonal changes and loss of firmness, with clinically effective, non-toxic ingredients. But performance is only half the story. We take equal care to create textures and finishes that transform body care into a ritual of self-investment. I never wanted Tronque to feel medicinal or utilitarian; every product had to marry efficacy with elegance.
That philosophy runs through everything we create. Take our Triple Active Body Milk: it’s infused with caffeine complexes, hyaluronic acid, and collagen-boosting peptides, yet it feels featherlight, almost like a milky serum, leaving skin soft, radiant, and revitalised. It proves that high-performance actives and a luxurious experience can and should coexist.
When it comes to trends, we stay aware of the conversation but never chase hype. We’re anchored in our ethos: to bring something purposeful and long-lasting to market, not just what’s momentarily “in.” That focus on intentional innovation is what allows Tronque to maintain its own path while quietly setting a new standard for body care.

From lymphatic tools to ‘deo-tox’ actives, Tronque leans into innovation in unique ways. Can you talk us through the process of developing a new product – from idea to shelf?
Innovation at Tronque always begins with identifying a need or a gap in the body care space. That could be a neglected skin concern, an ingredient that deserves more attention, or a daily ritual we want to reimagine in a more elevated, science-backed way. From there, we dive deep into research, studying clinical data, in-vitro testing, and traditional practices, to uncover solutions that are both effective and meaningful.
Once we’ve identified our hero ingredients and how they work in synergy, the development process can take years. We work closely with formulators to perfect not only the efficacy and stability of each formula, but also the sensorial experience: texture, absorption, and how it feels when applied to the skin. Just as much care goes into packaging, which we design to be refillable, sustainable, and beautiful enough to become part of a daily ritual.
Clean beauty isn’t a trend for us, it’s a non-negotiable pillar of the brand and deeply personal to me. After experiencing firsthand how conventional skincare ingredients can disrupt hormonal health and overall wellbeing, I made a commitment that every Tronque product would be as safe, effective, and transparent as possible. Our ingredient philosophy is simple: if there’s any doubt about safety, it doesn’t go in. We only work with clinically studied, non-toxic ingredients that deliver real results while respecting the body.
Ultimately, we don’t launch a product until every element, efficacy, safety, sustainability, and sensorial pleasure, aligns seamlessly. That’s how we ensure each release feels purposeful, not just another product on a shelf.
You’ve recently expanded into Europe, partly in response to U.S. tariffs. What have been the biggest lessons in navigating international growth as an independent brand?
We’ve built a very strong business and presence in the U.S., which gave us both the confidence and foundation to expand into Europe. Each market teaches you something different. The U.S. showed us the power of scale and consumer education, while Europe challenges us to think about heritage, sustainability, and luxury in new ways.
One of the biggest lessons has been that international growth is never a copy-and-paste exercise. Every region has its own nuances, from regulations to retail relationships, so staying adaptable and finding the right partners is key.
As an independent brand, we’ve also learned that obstacles, like tariffs, can become catalysts. They pushed us to pivot strategically, and in doing so, opened the door to a market where we see incredible alignment with Tronque’s ethos and long-term vision.

Luxury retail partnerships like Bergdorf Goodman are a huge milestone. How do you decide who’s the right fit for Tronque, and what does an ideal retail relationship look like to you?
For us, the right retail partner is one who truly understands and respects our positioning as a brand that combines science, luxury, and purpose. We look for partners who value education, storytelling, and who are equally invested in elevating body care to the same level of prestige traditionally reserved for facial skincare.
An ideal relationship feels collaborative, it’s about building a long-term partnership where both sides are aligned on vision and values. That means creating an environment where the brand is presented thoughtfully, the customer experience is elevated, and the focus remains on quality over volume. We want our retail presence to feel like an extension of Tronque’s ethos, intentional, refined, and deeply considered.
Tronque’s storytelling feels deeply personal and purpose-led. As the brand scales globally, how do you ensure that sense of intention and connection remains at its core?
From the beginning, Tronque has been rooted in my personal story, one of health, healing, and wanting to create something meaningful for others. As we grow, we keep that sense of intention alive by holding every decision against our founding values: transparency, integrity, and respect for the body and the planet.
On a practical level, that means staying close to our community, listening to their needs, and ensuring that every product we create still feels purposeful rather than just another launch. We also invest in storytelling that highlights not only our formulations but the why behind them, the rituals, the science, and the emotional connection. Scaling doesn’t have to dilute intimacy; if anything, it allows us to share that purpose with more people around the world.

If you were stranded on a desert island and could only bring one Tronque product with you, which one would it be – and why?
It would have to be the Firming Butter. This product really embodies the heart of Tronque, luxurious textures married with cutting-edge, science-backed ingredients. It’s incredibly rich and restorative, infused with actives that support collagen, elasticity, and long-term skin health, while botanicals deliver deep moisture and comfort.
On a desert island, where your skin would be constantly exposed to sun, salt, and wind, the Firming Butter would be my ultimate essential: a protective cocoon that keeps the skin supple, resilient, and radiant. But more than that, it transforms the simple act of body care into a ritual, one that nourishes both body and mind. Even in the most remote, stripped-back environment, it’s a reminder that taking care of yourself can be grounding, indulgent, and profoundly restorative.
It’s not just a cream, it’s the expression of Tronque’s ethos: treating the body with the same reverence, science, and luxury we usually reserve only for the face.
