In 1989 Mo Constantine, LUSH Co-founder and Product inventor, made magic happen when she created a product that softened water and brought essential oils and fresh ingredients to the bath in a way never done before. The beloved bath bomb made its debut and she did all of this working from her garden shed!

Fast forward to present day and as you can imagine, the bath bomb has been on quite a colourful and experimental ride over the years. Mo and her son Jack have invented and pushed the boundaries by creating the most luxurious bath products. There was the Butterball – a creamy bath bomb filled with cocoa butter to soften the skin, The Experimenter – which added an explosion of colour to your bath, and The Jelly Bomb – with mineral rich seaweed. Then Lush opened the world’s very first digital bath bomb concept shop in Tokyo which eliminated blackboards with product descriptions and demonstration sinks and in their replacement they introduced the #LushLabs app where you can hold up your smartphone and scan over a bomb then the app will give you all of the product information as well as a demonstration video! So progressive!

Bath bombs are continuing to explode into the #bathart movement, with so many bombs available that treat the skin with oils, rich butters, fragrance and an abundance of colours! So to celebrate Lush’s special 30th anniversary this year they have decided to release even more creativity into your bathtub. Lush has just released 40 new products to choose from, with every Lush shop being able to create and curate their own bath bomb ranges and depending on their size each shop will have a completely different collection. So dive on in and head down to your nearest Lush shop to check out the brand new range in store now. We’re absolutely fizzing with excitement!
