The newest collection is inspired by the dreamy atmosphere of fairy tales, with a touch of whimsy woven into every design. It reflects the deep greens, browns, and blacks of the New Zealand winter landscape, combining them with a subtle sheen for a truly enchanting range.
Included in the line-up is the covetable Stevie Dress that can be flipped around and worn two ways for different looks – one look with ties at the front and one with a round neck at the front and ties at the back. Stevie is the ideal blend of structure and comfort, with balloon sleeves pleated to perfection and a rounded neckline with two bow ties that can be tied up at the bodice. Designed with meticulous attention to detail, Stevie is part of an ultra-limited edition fabric collection this season.
The Stevie design is also available in a top, once again offering the versatility of being able to wear the top two different ways.
Continuing to embrace the theme of dual performance is the Flipside Vest, an oversized vest with a street-style vibe, structured design, and addictive comfort. With soft rounded edges and a tie-up front that can be worn undone for a more casual look or tied in a bow for an extra touch of elegance. This reversible vest is a forest green 100% cotton seersucker gingham with a sew-in quilted look on one side and a cosy boucle fabric for a more understated look on the other side.
Unlike many brands, you won’t find an overwhelm of new-season looks from Ames. Each design has been thoughtfully designed and is available in limited runs, a continuation of that focus on sustainability and avoiding waste. The Anna Dress (also available as a top) features a bold v-neck with a pleated rounded bodice, with striking sleeves for a touch of added drama.
