RevitaLash supports Breast Cancer Awareness with Eternally Pink pledge

Revitalash Cosmetics

As part of RevitaLash’s Eternally Pink pledge, a portion of every sale is donated towards
supporting breast cancer awareness and research year-round

We love a good love story, and so with no further ado, we’re sharing the story of love that is interwoven throughout RevitaLash Cosmetics.

With Breast Cancer Awareness Month paying homage to strong women (and the people around them) this October, it’s an ideal opportunity to showcase businesses with a history of supporting breast cancer awareness and showing support around fundraising initiatives.

While well known around the globe for its physician-formulated range of lash and brow serums, RevitaLash Cosmetics is also a year-round supporter of breast cancer awareness, fundraising via its Eternally Pink pledge.

Plus, this year, RevitaLash launched a company-wide global October 2022 Pink Program campaign to support its existing initiatives, including limited-edition product offerings.

For every RevitaLash Advanced or RevitaBrow Advanced purchase made during October, RevitaLash donates a one-month supply of its lash or brow conditioner to Look Good Feel Better New Zealand – helping men, women and teens to face cancer with confidence.

And the commitment doesn’t end when October does. As part of RevitaLash’s Eternally Pink® pledge, a portion of every sale is donated towards supporting breast cancer awareness and research year-round.

2022 marks RevitaLash’s fifth year supporting Look Good Feel Better New Zealand, and last year alone, more than 2400 units of RevitaLash Advanced and RevitaBrow Advanced were distributed to participants of the 300 workshops held nationwide.

As part of its global drive, RevitaLash Cosmetics New Zealand is holding its annual ‘Eat Drink Pink’ Fundraising Event on 30 October to fundraise for local charity Pinc and Steel, who provide support to people affected by cancer with their cancer treatment rehabilitation programmes. Tickets are available online now.

RevitaLash has a long and committed history to supporting causes and organisations around breast cancer awareness and fundraising, and it’s more than just a business initiative – it’s also intensely personal for founder Dr Michael Brinkenhoff.

Having started working on what went on to become the successful RevitaLash formula with no intention of creating a global brand, Dr Brinkenhoff’s goal was simple – to help his beloved wife Gayle feel more beautiful and confident during her courageous fight against metastatic breast cancer.

As a physician as well as an eye care specialist, Dr Brinkenhoff was well qualified to apply his scientific mind and years of medical expertise towards helping ease Gayle’s struggle with weak and brittle brows, lashes, and hair. It was 2006 and all the reward he was after was to see Gayle’s delight at the improvement his formula made to her confidence and self-esteem.

It didn’t take long for friends, family, and fellow cancer patients to notice the results, and soon others around Gayle wanted to get their hands (and lashes) on RevitaLash. After originally starting with a focus on lashes, Dr Brinkenhoff turned his attention to applying the same science to brows and then hair.

Now available in more than 70 countries, the RevitaLash stable of products includes those hotly sought-after serums, a hair collection, make-up, tools, and cleansers. Dr Brinkenhoff remains firmly committed to RevitaLash, despite the devastating loss of Gayle in 2013. RevitaLash is heavily committed to charity work and organisations as well as sustainability. Gayle was instrumental in naming the brand RevitaLash, once explaining that the products helped to revitalise the mind, body, and spirit. Gayle’s daughter Dariel Sidney is ensuring her mother’s legacy is carefully nurtured. Her role as VP of Global Philanthropy is committed to continued growth and evolution.

“Continually giving back to the cause that inspired the idea for RevitaLash Cosmetics has been a main pillar of the brand. To honour my mom, Gayle’s, courage and strength, we created our Eternally Pink pledge to support breast cancer awareness and research. And education initiatives year-round.”
