Sustainable Saben: the Saben Giveback Program

Saben Giveback Program

The Saben Giveback Programme helps rehome pre-loved Saben bags

We’re taking a moment to celebrate the Saben Giveback Program, introduced by Saben founder Roanne Jacobson as a way of ensuring her brand is part of a circular economy, while at the same time supporting a local charity.

Roanne has been leading the way for many years around encouraging extending the life of her beloved Saben creations and for her preference around ‘fewer more beautiful pieces’ as opposed to fast disposable fashion.

The Saben Giveback Program invites Saben bag owners (Sabenettes) around New Zealand to join the circular giveback programme, re-homing pre-loved Saben bags, while giving back to one of Saben’s favourite charities.

If your Saben bag doesn’t get as much wear as it deserves (life changes – maybe you need a smaller or bigger bag for a change in lifestyle), send your Saben bag to Saben Giveback HQ in exchange for a $50 Saben voucher to use towards your next purchase.

Saben will find a new home for your Saben piece at its annual sample sale, and donate 100% (yes the full amount) to its chosen charity. The charity will be announced soon, after being put to public vote during the first week of October.
