Welcome to FNZ’s second editorial submission
In this series, we slip into a soft bubble within the urban grid, conjuring the whimsy of Lewis Carroll through the lens of modern practicality. The result is a playful collision: stripes, plaids and polka dots worn in ways that both nod to and unravel the expectations of the everyday fashion uniform.
Shot by Felix Jackson, with styling by Levi Tan and beauty by Paris Little, the story unfolds like a daydream stretched between reflective walls, golden fencing and neatly manicured surrounds. It’s a world where hidden fancy meets grounded reality – where the cloud-like softness of imagination sits comfortably inside the concrete frame of the city.
Models Nico Penny and Oliver Arlove of 62 Management bring the narrative to life through mismatched prints, sculptural accessories, and silhouettes that tilt just slightly off-centre. Their looks flirt with contradiction: structured yet buoyant, practical yet a touch surreal. Polka-dot ties, unexpected collars, delicate florals and playful proportions invite the eye to explore every corner of the scene.
Each outfit builds on the fable – mixing pieces from independent designers including Twenty-seven Names, Kowtow, Rhoda Nunn, Mima Made It, Silk & Steel, Moscot, and Levi’s – creating a wardrobe that celebrates character over conformity. In this manicured urban world, imagination takes priority. Patterns clash with intention. Whimsy becomes wearable.
Urban Fable invites you to keep your feet on the pavement – while letting your head drift somewhere a little softer, a little dreamier, and entirely your own.
