WE-AR’s new collection for Spring/Summer 2019/20 reflects the brand’s feelings of vibrancy and optimism for a new and kind vision of our collective future. The range itself is appropriately named KYND and was inspired by the spirit of humankind coming together to stand up for a kinder future.
The brand have utilised that idea to create a collection that envisions the human being as a lightning rod that connects Heaven and Earth. “Each time we stand on our mats to practice the traditions of Yoga, we become conduits for higher vision to manifest here in our daily processes and interactions,” says creative director and founder Jyoti Morningstar. “As we heal ourselves, we heal our relationships with one another and the Earth. Through simple daily choices to act with kindness, we choose to be part of a planet-wide, united humanKYND choosing positive change.”
WE-AR’s range has luxurious organic bamboo cotton at its heart in earthy hues of sable, cypress and black that are shot through with the beauty of lapis and mandarin. The collection is elevated by beautiful antique gold printed on pure parchment textiles. Among the yoga pieces are simple high waisted leggings and bra-lets in a range of cuts to suit the wearer’s tastes in coverage and support.
Gorgeous lapis lazule is a highlight of this range, it encourages self-awareness, inspires confidence and reveals your inner truth. This vibrant blue features on tailored pants paired with delicately strapped tops and rouched-sleeve linen tees.
There’s also a focus on the natural luxury of linen which is one of the most ecological of all fibres. Linen is harvested from raw flax and doesn’t require any type of chemical processing, it also holds pigment well and is a breathable choice for summer. The collection features soft organic cotton, bamboo and silk-cashmere that are lovely to wear too.
WE-AR have embraced the carefree feeling of summer with playful skirts and an overall inspired mini-dress. For those cooler evenings there are luxurious knits in silk and cashmere that are perfect with ankle sweeping, midi length skirts. Elegant summer sweaters in suitably soft cashmere round out the collection.
