Yu Mei capsule collection delivers a promising punch of spring colour

Yu Mei Capsule Collection

Yu Mei releases its capsule collection ahead of the full Spring/Summer launch

A small capsule collection of Yu Mei bags is available today in-store and online, as the Wellington-based brand delivers a tantalising glimpse of the full collection to be launched in October.

Deep vibrant shades (Blueprint and Brunette) promise an impressive injection of colour heading into the full Spring/Summer release. In true Yu Mei form, the collection is highly covetable and offers contemporary thoughtful solutions to modern bag and luggage needs.

The undoubted star of the show will be the collectable Braidy bag – its generous proportions appreciated as much as the addictively super soft deer nappa the bag is crafted from.

At the other end of the scale, and held in equal regard, the petite Suki multi-strap box clutch is just as enamouring for its versatility. Suki can be worn as an under-the-arm baguette, a carefree crossbody, or used as a classic clutch.

Yu Mei is a New Zealand-based label that began in 2015 when founder Jessie Wong (middle name Yu Mei) decided to find a solution to the ongoing problem of finding a design-conscious bag that fitted everything she needed for a day.

Just seven years later, the label is available in 37 retailers across Australia and New Zealand.
