GEORGIA ALICE gets nostalgic this season

Georgia Alice collection

Looks from Georgia Alice’s new Fall/Winter 18 collection. Images supplied.

Designer Georgia Currie was surrounded by music from the likes of Mac DeMarco, Aldous Harding, Neil Young and Mazzy Star while creating the Fall/Winter 18 collection for her womenswear brand GEORGIA ALICE. The result is a feminine range that has a focus on delicate prints, soft knitwear and a liquid sparkle that’s out now.

The collection itself has a beautifully nostalgic feel while having everything the modern GEORGIA ALICE woman expects and needs. Currie has done a winsome take on refined knitwear which references the romantic history of ballet also seen in puffed sleeves. Her cropped long sleeve knits that fasten with silver domes offer a new version of  track-suiting.

Her collection is aimed at the Northern Hemisphere market but the likes of cashmere knitted tees and oversized tailored coats are still perfect for unpredictable spring weather here in New Zealand. GEORGIA ALICE’s stunning silver metallic liquid skirts and high waisted flares are perfectly teamed with contemporary acid print silk shirts and those previously mentioned cashmere tees. The look is elegant and effortless as is GA’s signature.

GEORGIA ALICE mixes romance with retro inspiration for a look that is softer yet of the moment, and creates the perfect dreamy wardrobe for the new season.
