For 25 years, Fashionz.co.nz has had a front-row seat to the best of New Zealand’s fashion and beauty scene, helping to launch and support countless brands and bring readers breaking fashion news and industry insights.

Now, the legacy of Fashion.co.nz continues following its acquisition by Auckland-based fashion marketing and communications agency Showroom 22.

For Showroom 22 founder and director Murray Bevan, taking custodianship of one of Aotearoa’s longest-running fashion media platforms means the opportunity to nurture new and established brands through digital-first channels, ensuring space for everyone’s story to be told.

“We are looking forward to reinvigorating Fashionz.co.nz as a powerful, digital-first platform and maintaining its place among an incredibly strong local line-up of media titles,” says Murray.

Spearheading the storytelling arm of Fashionz.co.nz is Phoebe Watt, an experienced fashion journalist and editor who will step in immediately to overhaul the platform’s editorial content and strategy in the lead-up to New Zealand Fashion Week 2023.

“The return of NZFW after a four-year hiatus feels emblematic of a local fashion and media industry that has weathered the storm of COVID and come out the other side with renewed purpose, perspective, and an enormous sense of community. I am excited to champion our nation’s talented creators and, alongside a formidable collective of contributors, lead the fashion conversation in new and nuanced directions.”

Fashionz.co.nz will relaunch on Monday, 14 August.
