Heading out on the road this summer? Then you’ll want to pick up a copy of Collectors Anonymous Edition 4 which is out now. It’s the perfect companion for treasure hunters, vintage lovers, op shop fans and expert thrifters as it features 1,500 stores in 380 cities, towns and suburbs around the country that offer vintage, retro, antique, industrial, mid-century, secondhand and pre-loved goods.

The 230 page guide has been updated with hundreds of new listings since the last edition was printed in 2018 and includes 3000 extra contact details and 78 pages of beautiful colour imagery. To feature all of that glory the guide has grown from 146 to 230 pages and is the perfect gift for anyone with an interest in second hand shopping. As we’ve learned in recent years it’s never been more important to support the circular economy by saving quality goods from landfill and giving them a new lease of life.

Established in 2015, Collectors Anonymous is now under new ownership with publisher Rose Jackson and her team  travelling from Mangamuka to the Bluff throughout 2020 to visit these stores and completely update the guide. The result is an incredible publication that details all the brilliant stores and hand to find shops that help keep our circular economy flourishing while offering unique items that preserve our past.

“Collectors Anonymous provides the perfect excuse to hit the road this summer, shopping local, saving goods from landfill, keeping them in circulation and having fun along the way!” says Rose Jackson. “With new clothing being one of the biggest causes of global pollution and consumption of new products at an all-time high, the planet needs more people who are willing to shop for goods that are pre-loved but still have a lot of life in them.

We feel honoured to carry on the good work that founder Shannon started in 2015, and we’re excited about taking Collectors Anonymous forward into a new phase. We’re passionate collectors ourselves, and this, combined with our background in tourism and independent publishing, means we have worked really hard with our team to create a guide that is both beautiful and useful, for everyone to enjoy. Having a Collectors Anonymous stashed in your glove box or tote bag will make it easy to plan exciting adventures around our beautiful country.”

With the summer holidays ahead of us and domestic tourism on the rise, it’s a great time to head out on the road with a copy of Collectors Anonymous and see what treasures can be found. You can buy Collectors Anonymous Edition 4 online for $24.95 or at selected stockists around the country.
