The newest facial experience: Chloe Zara Scalp Facial

The scalp facial is a deep cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturising process

Welcome to the newest facial experience in town – the Chloe Zara Scalp Facial. The brainchild of New Zealand-made haircare brand Chloe Zara, this latest innovation is an at-home hair experience designed to nourish and nurture the scalp.

Similar to a skin facial, the scalp facial is a deep cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturising process, boasting a range of benefits for hair and scalp health.

Using the same principles of face care (and dubbed the ‘skinification of haircare’), the Chloe Zara scalp facial uses similar self-care steps – exfoliation, hydration, nourishment, and protection.

With a steadily growing awareness of how important the scalp is when it comes to overall hair health, the scalp facial can be a game-changer when it comes to helping get rid of build-up, reducing inflammation, and promoting strong, glossy hair.

Boasting 20 years in the salon industry as a hairstylist, founder Chloe Zara Munro amassed a wealth of knowledge on what it takes to create healthy hair.

“As a hair stylist, I would often see scalp issues arise, particularly during the change of season or due to product build-up. Just like the pores of our skin, if hair follicles are clogged and irritated, the hair follicles can’t function properly and can’t promote healthy hair growth.

“I struggled to find an effective natural treatment that focused on this specifically. I began using the Silk Hair Balm paired with the Hair and Body Perfume Oil and noticed that not only did this soothe scalp irritation and inflammation and nourish dry scalps but it was also hugely beneficial for the overall health of hair by keeping follicles unclogged and feared for healthy strong hair growth.”

Chloe’s approach to plant-based efficacious ingredients sees the inclusion of ingredients commonly found in quality skincare such as cacay seed oil, kakadu plum, murumuru seed butter, sweet almond oil, and aloe vera – rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids the focus on building the overall health of the hair and scalp.

Designed to be integrated into your hair routine, Chloe recommends the scalp facial once a month.

“Healthy strong hair begins with a healthy scalp. Creating a hair routine that truly nourishes your hair and scalp will result in long-term results of hair that is more manageable, stronger, thicker, and shinier,” she says.

The Chloe Zara Scalp Facial Kit is available online as well as in selected stockists around Aotearoa.
